一、 Characteristics of MP ultraviolet lamp:
1. High power of single lamp (400w-10000w / single)
2. Energy efficiency
3. More compact size (length no more than 700mm)
4. Reduce the number of UV lamps and the volume of the reactor (969 T / h flow, only 4 lamps, ultra small volume)
5. Wider wavelength, effective irradiation range of 200 – 400nm (effective removal of bacteria, viruses, chloramines, chlorides and trichloramines).
6. Biological effect of ultraviolet light
(二) There are some important differences between MP UV lamp and LP UV lamp. These differences are the main reasons for choosing MP UV system
1. Some applications may require the use of Medium Voltage UV lamps because they emit a wide wavelength range. These applications include:
In public swimming pools, only by emitting ultraviolet light with the wavelength of 200-400nm can the taste of chloramine (combined chlorine) and chlorine be effectively eliminated.
2. Two other important reasons for using medium voltage UV lamp technology are as follows:
1) In order to reduce the footprint of installation, the size of UV reactor is greatly reduced by high-power medium pressure lamp.
2) Due to the higher power of single medium voltage UV lamp, the number of UV lamps is greatly reduced.
3) The medium pressure UV lamp can withstand higher pressure and wider temperature range, so it is suitable for higher pressure and more stringent use environment (best UV can bear pressure up to 16 kg, 100 ℃ high temperature).
二、 Introduction of LP lamp:
(一) Characteristics of LP ultraviolet lamp
Some important differences between LP UV lamp and MP UV lamp are as follows:
1. The power of single lamp is lower than 320W
2. Sterilization efficiency, compared with medium pressure lamp, sterilization time is longer (low pressure zero to a few seconds, medium pressure less than a second)
3. With the increase of wattage, the size of LP ultraviolet lamp is longer
4. The length of the reactor should be set according to the number of lamps and the length of lamps. Therefore, the slightly high-power low-voltage UV system is more space.
5. Low Voltage UV lamp can only emit 254nm wavelength.
(二) Some applications using low-voltage ultraviolet lamps are mainly due to:
1. Low treatment capacity, low power requirements, especially in the field of water purification.
2. Frequent opening and closing operation requirements, medium voltage ultraviolet is generally managed by the central controller, opening and closing have delay protection. Therefore, it cannot be turned on and off frequently.
3. Low pressure ultraviolet lamp, the lamp conversion efficiency is high, up to 40% of the power is converted into sterilization energy, and for bacteria and viruses, the 254 nm wavelength disinfection is more targeted.
